Carlo WaldfriedCarlo is in charge of technology development for the company's cleaning and curing systems. He leads projects to design and develop next generation systems for use in cutting edge device manufacturing. It is a fast paced, challenging job that allows him to use his creative, investigative skills to have an immediate impact on improving device performance and efficiency in products that we use every day. Carlo's broad physics background and quest for discovery led him to the semiconductor industry and Axcelis. In his view, Axcelis is a fascinating company with a great environment for learning throughout your career. Jim QuinnanJim is a high performance quality engineer focused on ensuring the company's important parts business maintains the highest level of quality and service. He investigates, measures and analyzes issues, and then leads cross functional teams to design and implement solutions. Jim's mission for quality involves interaction across the business, and across the globe. From his perspective, the atmosphere at Axcelis and the commitment to improvement and problem solving from colleagues across the organization makes each day unique and exciting. Since joining the company, he has been able to use his engineering and problem solving skills in a variety of areas, including product marketing, Final Test, and supplier and aftermarket quality. Certified by the ASQ as a manager of quality and organization excellence, Jim is always developing his skill set with new educational opportunities and experiences.

Patricia Hopkins

Patricia HopkinsSince Patty joined Axcelis Engineering, she has been a key contributor to the business in the area of Document and Data Management, Project Management, ISO compliance, and Business Systems implementations and support. Patty takes pride in solving complex problems, and her expertise in optimizing business systems has led to her involvement in many projects at the company. With her organizational and leadership skills, she has been instrumental in spearheading numerous company-wide system implementations, while ensuring data integrity and productivity. Her group's efforts have contributed to designing business processes and enhancing efficiency across the company - lead to rapid introduction of new design improvements and delivery to customers. A key reason she enjoys her position is the multidisciplinary, hands on environment, where she can work with a team of people to design a system or processes that pushes the envelope and has an impact. She is constantly working on new projects that present new challenges, and opportunities to expand her expertise.
